Job Title: Dealership Accountant

Basic Details

Salary: Up to £50,000 (dependent on experience) + £3,000 bonus + car + pension + benefits.

Role Overview

As a Dealership Accountant, you will play a key role in the development and growth of a busy dealership. The role requires a self-motivated, focused individual who can establish themselves as a key contact for management information, ensuring the smooth running of the accounts function, delivering timely and accurate management accounts, and developing controls to maximize returns and cash flow.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong technical and analytical accounting skills
• Exceptional leadership skills with a good sense of humor
• Proven track record within the motor industry
• Experience with accountancy in a car dealership and familiarity with Kerridge, Pinnacle, or similar accounting packages
• Strong communication and written skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary, liaising with Divisional Finance Directors
• Examine purchase and sales ledger information from the centralised accounting department
• Supervise one or two accounts staff and a sales administrator
• Provide analytical support to evaluate profit optimization
• Monitor performance measurement tools and techniques for projects
• Review capital and project appraisals
• Consolidate group budgets and forecasts
• Conduct investigative and analytical exercises as required
