Job summary

KPMG Ireland is seeking a Deal Analytics Senior Associate in Belfast to join our Transactions Services team. You will work on financial due diligence, data analytics, and commercial strategy projects, delivering insights and dashboards for senior executives.

The role requires strong Excel skills, data manipulation, and experience with analytics tools such as Power BI and Tableau. A Bachelor’s degree (2:1) and professional qualifications are preferred. The position offers hybrid work in Belfast.

Responsibilities

• Work with financial due diligence and commercial strategy teams to provide deep analytics and deliverable insights.
• Retrieve, prepare, and process data from diverse sources including transaction databases.
• Design and build efficient analytics solutions, reports and dashboards per business requirements.
• Lead delivery of projects including financial analysis and report writing.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients.

A Snapshot Of Your Peer Group

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a M&A / FP&A environment / Consolidation Accounting
• Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and manipulate large datasets efficiently
• Experience in using one or all of: Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum 2:1)
• Professionally qualified accountant or holder of a recognised financial qualification preferred (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Excellent analytical and project management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, drive and enthusiasm are a pre-requisite for this role

• Work with our financial due diligence and commercial strategy teams to provide deep business analytics, develop insightful analysis and integrate findings into project-based product deliverables.
• Involvement in projects to retrieve, prepare, and process data from a variety of sources including transaction databases and operational data.
• Designing and building efficient data analytics solutions and models, reports and dashboards based on business requirements
• Client facing interaction with senior decision-making executives on a day-to-day basis
• Lead delivery of projects including financial analysis and report writing
• Presentation of findings and recommendations to clients
• Providing support to the wider management group within Transaction Services
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our own service delivery and practice
