  • Financial Services: We work with private equity, infrastructure, and real estate funds, as well as institutional investors like sovereign wealth funds and pension funds. Our clients have UK, European, and global investment strategies.
  • Corporates: We support FTSE 100 and 250 companies with strategic acquisitions, carve-outs, de-mergers, disposals, and joint ventures both in the UK and internationally.
  • National Markets: We work across the UK with mid-market corporates and PE funds investing in key sectors to grow local economies.

The team offers advisory services across the deal spectrum, including buy-side due diligence, structuring, sell-side vendor assist, refinancing, and listings. Deal sizes range from £10m to over £10bn, involving diverse clients and transactions.

We assist clients in understanding tax issues and structuring transactions to maximize value throughout the investment cycle, often involving advice across multiple countries and tax jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Partners and Directors on complex transactions to deliver high-quality advice.
  • Support in pursuing new opportunities, proposals, and pitches.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships within Deal Advisory.
  • Serve as a primary contact for clients, legal advisers, and KPMG teams.
  • Coach and develop colleagues, collaborate with peers, and pursue continuous learning.
  • Prepare and oversee detailed technical advice on UK and international tax issues.
  • Analyze tax-related documents and data, highlighting key issues and their commercial impact.
  • Work with UK and overseas tax specialists, critically analyzing their input.
  • Stay updated on UK and OECD tax developments.
  • Understand financial models from a tax perspective.
  • Contribute to Deal Advisory Tax thought leadership.

  • Ambitious, enthusiastic, and interested in transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Solid UK corporate tax knowledge and awareness of other tax and accounting matters.
  • Good project management skills, team-oriented, proactive, and capable of building relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop, coach, and lead colleagues.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

We support flexible working arrangements to help balance work and home demands. During the recruitment process, we can connect you with colleagues who work flexibly to share their experiences.
