Worcestershire County Council seeks a Specialist Teaching Assistant for the Deaf Support Team at Kidderminster Preschool. The 13-hour, term-time post travels across the county and supports deaf pupils in mainstream settings, alongside qualified teachers of the deaf and an educational audiologist.

Applicants need experience with children or young people and BSL level 2, or to be working towards it. Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Support a deaf child or young person in their educational setting.
• Work with qualified teachers of the deaf and MSI, an educational audiologist and specialist practitioners.
• Work with setting-based staff.
• Advocate for the needs of a deaf pupil.
