DDI Engineer: DNS/DHCP/IPAM Automation & Integration

World Wide Technology (WWT) is a global tech solutions provider offering infrastructure, security, cloud and digital services in the UK. You will design, build and run core network services, engineering DDI platforms and automating them for scalable enterprise use.

Join a team delivering DNS, DHCP and IPAM across multi-site environments, with focus on HA designs, migrations, and integrations into cloud, ITSM, CMDB and AD. Strong automation skills and vendor certifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience designing, building and integrating DDI in a large enterprise.
• Experience with at least one enterprise DDI platform (BlueCat / VitalQIP / Infoblox).
• Strong DNS, DHCP and IPAM knowledge including IPv4/IPv6 and failover concepts.
• Automation experience using Python / PowerShell / Ansible and REST APIs.
• Solid TCP/IP, routing and switching understanding within a network context.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, build and integrate enterprise DDI platforms from design to live service.
• Integrate DDI with cloud, virtualisation, CMDB, ITSM, AD and identity services.
• Design and deploy resilient DNS/DHCP architectures with HA and scope design.
• Run migrations and upgrades with cutover planning and rollback testing.
• Automate DDI tasks and integrations via APIs and pipelines to reduce manual work.
• Create HLDs/LLDs, configuration standards, test plans and runbooks.
• Own delivery of your workstream; coordinate with teams and hand over to operations.
• Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP and IP addressing across multi-site environments.
