Job summary

1 Vision Solar is seeking a skilled Solar PV Electrician to join the installation team. The role focuses on DC electrical installation, equipment installation and commissioning of solar PV and battery storage systems across domestic, commercial, and industrial projects.

Ideal candidates are fully qualified electricians with AC capabilities when needed, and a willingness to travel across the UK. Ongoing technical training and career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be fully qualified electricians and capable of DC solar PV installation.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or recognised equivalent qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) in-depth knowledge.
• Completed electrical apprenticeship/AM2 or equivalent route to full qualification.
• Valid ECS Gold Card or equivalent evidence of status.
• Competence in AC electrical installation, safe isolation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Install DC isolators, protection devices and electrical containment.
• Connect PV strings to solar inverters and perform DC tests.
• Install battery storage systems and related equipment.
• Carry out monitoring, metering and communications wiring.
• Undertake AC electrical work when required and ensure BS 7671 compliance.
• Support commissioning and maintenance of solar PV and storage systems.
