Job summary

1 Vision Solar is seeking a DC Installation & Commissioning Specialist to join our growing renewable energy team. The role focuses on DC solar PV installation, wiring, testing and commissioning of solar PV and battery storage systems across domestic and commercial projects in the UK.

You will work with our installation teams, undertake DC isolation, metering and monitoring equipment setup, and only perform AC work when required, ensuring compliance with BS 7671 and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified electrician with emphasis on DC solar PV installation.
• Ability to install DC isolators, protect devices and electrical containment.
• Experience with testing DC polarity, voltage, insulation resistance and continuity.

Responsibilities

• Install DC isolators, protection devices and wiring in DC solar systems.
• Install PV strings to inverters and test DC systems.
• Commission and maintain solar PV and battery storage equipment.
• Perform AC work when required and ensure BS 7671 compliance.
