We are looking for a DBS Project Officer to lead a Trust wide project in moving all our staff to the DBS update service. This is a vital role that ensures our staff meet DBS compliance standards, contributing directly to a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors alike. If you have strong administrative skills, a professional approach, and a passion for supporting safeguarding processes, we would love to hear from you.
This is a fixed-term contract lasting 18-20 months, offering a chance to be part of a meaningful project. The role requires a physical presence on our Trust site in Littlemore 2-3 times a week and you may be required to travel between sites. As the first point of contact for our staff, you will play a crucial role in guiding them through the DBS review process, ensuring it is handled with sensitivity and efficiency. Your support will help maintain high standards of safety and compliance across our Trust.
Main duties of the jobIn this role your main responsibilities will include updating tracking spreadsheets, ensuring appropriate ID checks are completed, and supporting colleagues with the use of online DBS software. You will liaise with staff and managers regarding application status, chase outstanding documentation, and handle email and telephone queries with professionalism and tact.
The role also involves assisting managers with the ID check process, identifying issues needing escalation, and performing ad-hoc administrative duties as required. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth progression of applications and adherence to deadlines.
