Calex is a specialist training and consultancy organisation working in partnership with several market-leading automotive manufacturers. We are currently seeking to recruit a Project Executive to join the Technical Training team at the Volkswagen National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.

The successful candidate will ensure that product launches, new courses, blended learning, and a variety of tactical projects are delivered to timescales and budgets under the direction of the Learning Content and Production Manager.

Candidates should ideally have a Learning & Development background, possess significant demonstrable Project Coordination experience, and have first-hand working experience with web-based project management software and reporting mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement projects aligned with brand expectations according to established processes
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables for Volkswagen Group, Brands, and Learning Services
  • Report on project progress to meet contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations
  • Manage quotes, budgets, purchase orders, and invoices in line with current procedures
  • Monitor supplier performance against service level agreements, lead regular meetings, and maintain open feedback channels
  • Facilitate effective project meetings as needed
  • Maintain clear communication regarding project status with all stakeholders
  • Allocate project resources across teams and external partners
  • Manage course scheduling logistics, including pilots and Train the Trainer sessions
  • Resolve problems and conflicts promptly and effectively
  • Ensure smooth flow of project activities and relationships for timely completion
  • Uphold professional standards and reflect Calex and VWG values at all times
  • Collaborate with the Calex Account Management team and other key personnel to manage VWG relationships and achieve KPIs
  • Follow all policies and procedures
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting, administration, and attend meetings (onsite and offsite) as required

  • Experience in project coordination/management
  • Experience managing multiple projects for high-profile clients
  • Engaging and dynamic communication skills
  • Proficiency in IT tools, especially Smartsheet
  • Strong financial control and risk management experience
  • Ability to support group decisions aligning with organizational goals
  • Excellent project planning and organizational skills

Salary & Benefits

Up to £28,000 depending on experience, plus a monthly car allowance (£3942 pa total)

25 days paid annual leave, and Calex Employee Benefits (High Street Discounts, Online GP, Welfare Scheme)

We will conduct standard employment checks, including references, ID, driving license (if applicable), and right to work in the UK. DBS checks may also be required.

Employment Details

The successful candidate will be employed by Calex UK, a provider of automotive training including Trainers, Developers, Digital Learning Experts, and Administrators, based at the VWG National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.

Place of Work

VWG National Learning Centre, Wymbush, Milton Keynes. Hybrid working is currently in place, with at least 60% in the office and up to 40% remote, subject to change. Occasional work at other locations may be required.
