About the role

As a construction-focused Project & Commercial Data Coordinator within our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing seamless financial coordination and administrative assistance to the project delivery teams in the Property department.
  • Acting as the central point of contact for the project delivery team to ensure finance and procurement queries are handled effectively.
  • Linking Technical Services and Construction delivery teams, internal finance teams, and the external supply chain to ensure financial processes adhere to John Lewis Partnership policies and project timelines.
  • Maintaining, administering, and managing data input for project setup and delivery, including procurement activities on systems like Coupa and Oracle.
  • Addressing queries on these systems and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Partnership's policies, standards, and legal requirements, with meticulous record-keeping and data storage.
  • Producing high-standard documents and reports.
  • Contributing to department objectives for world-class project delivery.
Partnership Salary Range

£29,500 - £46,500 (dependent on experience).

This position is a Permanent contract.

Working pattern/flexible working

The Partnership adopts a hybrid working approach, allowing a mix of office and home-based work based on personal needs and business requirements, typically around 1 day a week in the office.

Location

The role requires travel to Bracknell and Pimlico head offices. You can nominate your preferred main location. Travel costs are the responsibility of the employee; no travel allowance is provided.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver project financial setup and amendments.
  • Administer data input on financial procurement systems.
  • Support project quantity surveyors with reconciliations, invoices, cost reports, journals, and purchase orders.
  • Facilitate external surveyor access to finance systems.
  • Provide reports using Oracle and Coupa.
  • Prepare data for ad hoc reporting.
  • Raise requisitions and confirm receipt.
  • Resolve supplier payment and system queries.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end activities.
  • Manage supplier onboarding and due diligence.
  • Track contract documentation and manage project records.
Essential skills/experience
  • Minimum A-Level / NVQ Level 3 qualification.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Windows.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
Desirable skills/experience
  • Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Experience with Oracle and Coupa systems.
