Job summary

LA International is seeking a skilled DBA Specialist to join our team onsite at Leicester/Hursley 5 days a week. The role focuses on the design, implementation, maintenance and performance of critical database systems, with emphasis on data integrity and availability.

The ideal candidate has extensive DBA experience, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with major DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Experience with backups, DR, security and automation is highly valued.

Qualifications

• DBA Specialist with design, implementation, maintenance and performance of database systems.
• Must understand database concepts and principles.
• Experience with multiple DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Ensure database scalability and performance.
• Perform routine maintenance including backups, restores and patching.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage database security and access control.
• Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
