Job summary

NatWest Group is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer focusing on Db2. You will design and maintain Db2 for z/OS infrastructure, optimize SQL, and deploy DDL changes within governance rules. The role emphasizes IaC, automation, observability, and collaborative product delivery.

You’ll work with teams to design self-service infrastructure and support production systems in an on-premise data centre, applying a DevOps mindset and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with Db2 for z/OS design and administration.
• Strong SQL performance tuning and optimization skills.
• Experience deploying DDL changes per governance standards.
• Proficient in CI/CD tooling and pipelines.
• Hands-on with infrastructure as code and automation.
• Knowledge of observability tools and data-driven improvement.

Responsibilities

• Engineer Db2 infrastructure with security, resilience and observability.
