Job summary

HOK Consulting - Technical Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an experienced IBM Db2 Engineer to support and maintain a large-scale enterprise Db2 environment in the United Kingdom.

You will install, upgrade, test, and maintain Db2 for z/OS and related tools, provide production support and incident management, and collaborate on CICS/OLTP systems, performance tuning, capacity planning, security, backups, DR planning, storage, and archiving to ensure high availability and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining large IBM Db2 environments.
• Strong knowledge of Db2 for z/OS and related tools.
• Experience diagnosing production incidents and performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, test, and maintain Db2 for z/OS and related tools.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, and incident management.
• Support distributed Db2 connections and CICS/OLTP environments.
• Perform Db2 performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
• Manage database security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Support database planning, storage and archiving activities.
