Job summary

Fire Group is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our daytime kitchen team after a refurbishment. This permanent, full-time role offers an on-target earnings package of £39,800 - £42,800, plus tips and service.

You will work with a Head Chef from a 3 Rosette background, maintaining top standards of food preparation, hygiene and presentation while optimising kitchen operations. The role emphasises fresh food with local suppliers, including salmon and trout.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
• Ability to lead and mentor kitchen staff to meet high standards.
• Understanding of food cost and margin targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations under the Head Chef's direction.
• Ensure quality, presentation, and timely delivery of menu items.
