Bob and Berts Dunfermline is seeking a chef or experienced cook for daytime hours with start time 7am and latest finish 18:30, no night shifts. This part-time role offers 15 hours per week, including weekends, in a friendly café environment.

You will cook fresh breakfast and lunch, contribute ideas to seasonal menus, and help keep the kitchen organized and running smoothly with a calm, reliable approach.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef or cook in a café, bistro or fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to prepare quality food quickly and consistently.
• Good organisation, communication and teamwork.
• Understanding of food hygiene and allergens; a Food Hygiene Certificate preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook fresh breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard.
• Help shape seasonal menus using fresh, local ingredients.
• Keep service organised, efficient and calm during busy periods.
• Monitor stock, support ordering and reduce food waste.
• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and allergen standards.
• Work closely with front-of-house to deliver a smooth customer experience.
