Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking an experienced Chef to join our catering team at Dungeness Power Station. This daytime, Monday-to-Friday role focuses on delivering high-quality meals and leading a small kitchen team.

You will support menu planning, maintain food hygiene standards, manage stock, and uphold regulatory requirements while providing excellent customer service in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Chef.
• Strong culinary skills and passion for quality food.
• Experience supervising a kitchen team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work in a structured and safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present meals to high standards.
• Support menu planning considering nutrition and budget.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Assist Chef Manager with day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Order stock and manage supplies to control costs.
• Ensure all standards are followed.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
