Job summary

Etex Group in Stirling, Scotland, is seeking a Dayshift Mechanical Engineer to keep our plant running. You will carry out planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across production equipment and building services, and support the installation of new plant.

Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with occasional 6am starts during planned shutdowns and some night or weekend callouts. You will join a close-knit maintenance team and work with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps,

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Level 3 apprenticeship.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with production plant equipment.
• Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Autonomous and self-directed working style.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel and CMMS.
• Ability to access and move around a manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance across the production plant and building services.
• Respond to maintenance requests and log work in the CMMS.
• Start each shift by agreeing tasks with the team and perform daily checks.
• Work hands-on with conveyor systems, bearings, gearboxes and other rotating equipment.
• Support the installation of new plant and equipment in line with regs and safety.
• Liaise with production leaders and suppliers to arrange parts outside hours.
• Follow health and safety standards and participate in Kaizen and 5S improvements.
