Job summary

Stirling Warrington Limited is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical focus to join an established manufacturing business. You will keep plant, machinery and site equipment safe, reliable and running efficiently, working closely with production and engineering colleagues to minimise downtime.

The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across plant, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, and supporting upgrades and site improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong maintenance experience in manufacturing, heavy engineering, or a similar environment.
• Confident mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair skills.
• Experience with mechanical fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience with planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Willingness to support basic electrical work within a multi-skilled team.
• Proactive, safety-conscious approach with good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across plant and machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Working with gears, motors, bearings, chains, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Investigating recurring breakdowns and identifying root causes.
• Supporting equipment upgrades, site improvements and maintenance procedures.
• Working collaboratively with production teams to prioritise repairs and reduce downtime.
• Maintaining safe working practices and supporting site security and close-down when required.
