Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking an electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a permanent days-based role in Aberystwyth. You will work a consistent 4 on, 4 off pattern from 10:00am to 10:00pm, within a busy food manufacturing environment.

The role involves reactive and planned maintenance, fault-finding on processing machinery, boilers and utilities, and CMMS record-keeping. You will join an experienced engineering team committed to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Electrical training or qualifications, with practical mechanical maintenance capability.
• Experience as Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer or Electrical Engineer.
• Ability to fault-find and repair industrial machinery.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in food/beverage/FMCG/pharmaceutical or regulated settings preferred.
• Willingness to develop new technical skills and work safely around machinery.

Responsibilities

• Provide reactive maintenance to keep high-volume production equipment running safely.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance across production and site services.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and repair to minimise downtime.
• Work with boilers, pasteurisation systems, processing equipment and utilities.
• Record maintenance activity in the CMMS and manage downtime tasks.
• Collaborate with other engineers and production teams, ensuring safety procedures.
