Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd represents a well-invested food manufacturer in Aberystwyth seeking an electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. This permanent, days-based role offers a 4 on, 4 off pattern from 10:00am to 10:00pm with occasional weekend start/finish flexibility.

You will provide reactive maintenance, perform planned PMI on production equipment, fault-find electrical and mechanical faults, and support boilers, pasteurisation systems and utilities.

Qualifications

• Electrical training or qualifications with practical mechanical maintenance capability.
• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to fault-find and repair industrial machinery.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
• Experience in food/FMCG/pharma or regulated environments.
• Willingness to develop new technical skills.
• Ability to work safely around production machinery.
• Experience with boilers or process equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide reactive maintenance to keep production equipment running.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance on production and site services.
• Diagnose faults and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Maintain boilers, processing equipment, and utilities.
• Record maintenance activity in the CMMS.
• Support downtime maintenance and equipment improvements.
• Collaborate with shift engineer and production teams.
• Follow health, safety, and food manufacturing procedures.
