Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd. in Mid-Wales is seeking an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a small maintenance team supporting a contract packing and manufacturing operation.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across conveyors, bag weighers, heat sealers, robotics, and mixing equipment, with a focus on electrical fault-finding and PLC control. This days-based role offers a 7am–4pm pattern, minimal overtime, and opportunities to develop electrical and PLC capabilities within

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years' experience in manufacturing/industrial maintenance.
• Strong electrical fault-finding on panels, motors, drives and control systems.
• Basic PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens or Mitsubishi).

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance across a varied range of machinery.
• Electrical fault finding on panels, motors, drives and control systems.
• Fault finding on PLC-controlled systems using HMIs and ladder logic.
• Support mechanical tasks on conveyors, elevators and gearboxes.
• Collaborate with external suppliers on complex control or robotics issues.
