Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a well-established manufacturing site in North Wales. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on automated production equipment, diagnosing faults across electrical and mechanical systems to keep production running.

The role involves working on PLC-controlled machinery (Beckhoff), conveyors and palletising lines, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HNC in Electrical Engineering – essential.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing or highly automated production environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding ability.
• Good mechanical maintenance capability alongside electrical skills.
• Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment.
• Ability to diagnose faults methodically and work safely under production pressure.
• Proactive, able to work independently or in a shift team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently.
• Perform electrical fault finding across sensors, relays, inverters, control systems, motors and related equipment.
• Work with PLC-controlled automated machinery, e.g., Beckhoff systems.
• Maintain equipment such as conveyors and palletising systems.
• Support equipment rebuilds and modification work, and record maintenance on tablet-based system.
• Collaborate with production and wider engineering team to minimise downtime.
