Job summary

Windmill Music Federation invites applications for a Daycare Manager to lead our Nursery and Daycare setting into the future. You will provide strategic, operational and professional leadership for the federation's Daycare provision and work with the Head of EYFS to ensure a high-quality, inclusive Early Years journey across Low Road and Windmill settings.

You will have the ability to lead a staff group, manage budgets, plan rotas, and prepare reports for governance bodies while safeguarding

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a managerial role in a nursery/daycare setting.
• Experience of issues relating to child protection.
• Experience of managing and leading teams/individual staff.
• Experience of working in partnership with carers and parents.
• Professional employment in work with young children, families, and communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational and professional leadership for federation daycare provision.
• Ensure high-quality, inclusive Early Years journey across settings.
• Lead staff with clear plans, monitor progress and evaluate results.
• Prepare written reports and plans to Governing Body and management teams.
• Maintain safeguarding and welfare across the daycare services.

An exiting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to lead our Nursery and Daycare setting into the future.

The Daycare Manager will provide strategic,operational and professional leadership for the Federation's Daycare provision.Working in close partnership with the Head of EYFS, who provides strategiccurriculum leadership across the Federation, the postholder will be responsiblefor the overall management, quality, sustainability and regulatory complianceof the setting. Together, the Daycare Manager and Head of EYFS will ensure thatchildren experience a high-quality, inclusive and seamless Early Years journeyacross Low Road and Windmill Music Federation.

You will have -

The ability to provide highquality support for children’s learning and development within an inclusiveenvironment, as they progress through the Early Years Foundation Stage

The ability to effectively lead astaff group setting long term goals and clear plans ensuring that staffunderstand their roles and responsibilities, monitor and evaluate theirprogress

Strong business andadministrative skills, including budgeting, rotas, and marketing

The ability to prioritise andorganise work under pressure and to meet competing demands

The ability to prepare written reports and plans to the Governing Body,Senior Management Team and relevant inspection services

The ability to collect and analysedata using a range of systems including ICT

The ability to take responsibilityfor the quality of work acknowledging mistakes, find solutions and learningfrom the experience demonstrating interpersonal skills diplomacy and maturityof judgement

The ability to understand therange of factors which creates stress for children and their families, andpromote practice that is responsive to the local community ensuring thatchildren are safeguarded and their welfare needs are met
