Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting Classroom Support Workers to provide 1:1 and classroom support for pupils with SEMH across Skelmersdale on a day-to-day supply basis.

This role offers flexibility and the chance to gain valuable experience in specialist SEMH settings. Ideal candidates will have experience in education, care, support work or youth work, with a calm, patient approach and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience in education, care, support work, youth work or similar backgrounds is desirable.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and classroom support for pupils with SEMH needs

Skelmersdale | Day-to-Day Supply Work | Immediate Start (Once Fully Vetted)

We are currently recruiting Classroom Support Workers to work on a day-to-day supply basis in SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools across Skelmersdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in education, care, support work, youth work, or similar backgrounds who are looking for flexible work.

The Role:
  • Providing 1:1 and classroom support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Supporting students to engage in learning and classroom activities
  • Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Encouraging emotional regulation, confidence, and independence
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
  • A calm, resilient, and patient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour
  • Experience within SEN, SEMH, care, support work, youth work, or similar settings is desirable
