This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a thriving team and work with excellent staff-to-patient ratios.

Located in leafy St John’s Wood on the Jubilee line, minutes from Central London, our luxury private hospital has an international reputation for providing the highest quality care. All profits fund our onsite hospice, St John’s.

What would be my responsibilities as the Ward Manager:
  1. Lead the team in developing their knowledge, ideas, and work practices, focusing on assessing care needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care programmes.
  2. Deliver excellent communication and leadership, and be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the team.
  3. Ensure high-quality nursing care in line with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  4. Act as a role model, support the Chief Nursing Officer, Head of Nursing, and the Senior Nursing Team, and supervise the day surgery nursing and healthcare assistant team.
  5. Assist in the safe, effective, and efficient management of the department within scope of practice and resources.
  6. Manage budgets and act as an authorised signatory for financial and physical resources.
  7. Promote continuous improvement of patient care and operations through research and evidence-based practice.
  8. Undertake the role of Duty Manager as trained, on an as-needed basis.
  9. Work as an expert practitioner, delivering patient-focused care addressing complex health needs.
  10. Ensure standards of cleanliness and infection prevention and control are maintained.
