Job summary

Nightly, Cygnet Group is seeking a compassionate Day Support Worker for the Nightingale site in the UK. This full-time role offers 42 hours weekly on 12-hour day shifts, helping adults with autism and learning disabilities live independent and fulfilling lives in a safe, nurturing environment.

Requirements include a full UK driving licence (2+ years) and an enhanced DBS check. Salary starts at £13.45 per hour, rising to £13.75 after 3 months, with apprenticeship and overtime opportunities

Qualifications

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Empathy and adaptability to support adults with autism and learning disabilities.
Full UK driving licence held for minimum 2 years.

Responsibilities

Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all our service users, patients and residents.
Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.
Safeguard those in our care.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for all.
Support service users with community-based activities and appointments, including driving when required.
