Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Day Shift Specialist Cleaner in Macclesfield to join our corporate client site. You will perform routine cleaning across laboratories, corridors and offices while adhering to GMP/GxP and COSHH requirements.

We value attention to detail, professionalism and reliability. You will complete cleaning records, maintain PPE standards and support a safe, compliant workplace with strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a regulated environment is desirable, but full training will be provided where required.
• Knowledgeable or willing to learn about GMP/GxP and COSHH requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of floors, sinks, handwashing stations and laboratory sinks.
• Cleaning of corridors and office spaces.
• Replacing consumable items (soap, hand towels).
• Cleaning of toilet areas and general spaces.
• Follow GMP/GxP regulations, SOPs and COSHH requirements at all times.
• Complete accurate cleaning records and report issues or equipment faults.
• Ensure PPE is worn and health, safety, and infection-control procedures are followed.
• Maintain relationships with customers and address concerns promptly.
• Identify and report equipment or operational issues to supervisor.
• Complete training to maintain compliance standards.

What you'll do:

• Cleaning of floors, Sinks, Handwashing Stations and Scientific sinks in laboratory areas
• Cleaning of corridors
• Replacing consumable items (soap, hand towels etc)
• Cleaning of office spaces and toilet areas
• Follow GMP/GxP regulations, SOPs and COSHH requirements at all times.
• Complete accurate cleaning records and report any issues, deviations or equipment faults.
• Ensure appropriate PPE is worn and all health, safety, security and infection-control procedures are followed.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with customers and respond to any concerns promptly.
• Ensure sterile garments and pyjamas are fully stocked and available for plant operators, following strict procedures and dress standards.
• Identify and report any equipment or operational issues promptly to the relevant supervisor or manager.
• Complete all required training to maintain the required standards of compliance.

What you'll bring:

• Previous experience in a regulated environment is desirable, but full training will be provided where required.
• Highly organised and attentive to detail.
• Comfortable working to strict procedures and regulatory standards.
• Customer-focused with good communication skills.
