Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Specialist Cleaner in Macclesfield for a 3‑month fixed term contract. You will work a day shift, 37.5 hours per week, at £13.45 per hour and provide essential cleaning services across a laboratory site.

Full training will be provided for regulated duties. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with hygiene standards, and strong customer service at the client site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a regulated environment is desirable, but full training will be provided where required.
• Highly organised and attentive to detail.
• Comfortable working to strict procedures and regulatory standards.
• Knowledgeable or willing to learn about GMP/GxP and COSHH requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of floors, sinks, handwashing stations and laboratory sinks.
• General waste disposal, glass cleaning, doors, and dusting.
• Clean corridors, replace consumables (soap, towels).
• Clean offices and toilet areas; follow GMP/GxP, COSHH, SOPs.

What you'll do: Cleaning of floors, Sinks, Handwashing Stations and Scientific sinks in laboratory areas General Waste disposal Glass cleaning, cleaning doors, dusting.

Cleaning of corridors Replacing consumable items (soap, hand towels etc) Cleaning of office spaces and toilet areas Follow GMP/GxP regulations, SOPs and COSHH requirements at all times.

Complete accurate cleaning records and report any issues, deviations or equipment faults.

Ensure appropriate PPE is worn and all health, safety, security and infection-control procedures are followed.

Maintain strong professional relationships with customers and respond to any concerns promptly.

Ensure sterile garments and pyjamas are fully stocked and available for plant operators, following strict procedures and dress standards.

Identify and report any equipment or operational issues promptly to the relevant supervisor or manager.

Complete all required training to maintain the required standards of compliance.
