Job summary

Historic Royal Palaces in London is seeking a Security Officer (Days) to join the Tower of London security team on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027. You will help provide a safe and welcoming environment for visitors, staff and contractors, upholding high standards of presentation and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in varied security functions at complex sites is required.
• SIA Level 2 SG qualification is essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Controlling all pedestrian and vehicle activity and access to the Tower.
• Taking regular patrols and maintaining a vigilant presence.
• Responding to alarms and security incidents.
• Providing a safe environment for visitors and staff.
• Providing security for evening functions and events.
• Liaising with Metropolitan Police and Emergency Services when required.
• Meeting and greeting visitors.
• Managing the Business reception desk and acting as a professional point of contact for visitors and contractors.
• Projecting a smart, efficient and helpful image at all times.
