Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Production Supervisor in the Tewkesbury/Gloucester area to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations. You will oversee a team of mechanical and electrical technicians, drive continuous improvement, ensure quality, and manage daily schedules in a fast-paced shop floor environment.

The role requires supervisory experience in automotive/mechanical manufacturing, ability to read engineering drawings, and strong cross‑department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in automotive/mechanical/engineering settings.
• Able to read engineering drawings and follow complex paperwork.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Solid health and safety understanding in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of mechanical and electrical production technicians.
• Allocate tasks, manage workflows, and hit output targets and deadlines.
• Read drawings, monitor quality, and coordinate with Engineering and Operations to resolve defects.
• Track metrics like output, downtime, and attendance; manage holidays and leave.
• Enforce health, safety and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive small lean improvements (5S, waste reduction).
• Collaborate with sub-assembly, quality, and supply chain to resolve issues swiftly.
