Job summary

Automotive Manufacturer in the UK is seeking a Production Supervisor to join a three-shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am). You will supervise production on site, ensuring a safe working environment and meeting customer demand.

The ideal candidate will have automotive manufacturing leadership experience, a solid understanding of 5S, and ILM Level 3 Management. You will lead teams, drive improvements, and monitor KPIs and OEE to achieve targets.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams in automotive manufacturing or similar.
• ILM Level 3 Management qualification.
• Knowledge of 5S workplace organisation.
• Proven track record in improving production processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment on site.
• Supervise production to meet customer demand.
• Lead improvement teams and root cause analysis.
• Manage Team Leaders and Operators daily.
• Drive KPI and OEE performance to targets.
• Coordinate out-of-hours contact with customers.
• Promote HSE policies across the department and plant.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines.

A globally recognised automotive manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Production department with the appointment of a Production Supervisor to work a three shift pattern (6am 2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am)

As Production Supervisor you will be responsible for supervision of production on site, ensuring a safe working environment and satisfying all customer demands.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for:

• Guarantee a safe working environment
• Ensure all production processes conform to current quality standards
• Manufacture quality parts in time to satisfy customer demand
• Improve production processes and lead improvement teams
• Lead root cause analysis of non-conforming production and implement corrective actions
• Daily organisation Team Leaders and Operators
• Complete performance reviews to improve team performance and flexibility
• Lead team performance via KPIs and OEE to achieve targets
• Out of hours contact with Customers
• Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all
• Health and Safety environmental requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skillset and qualifications:

• Management experience in the automotive sector (or any other manufacturing sector)
• ILM Level 3 Management.
• Knowledge of 5s.
