Job summary

Workforce Recruitment is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a Birmingham-based manufacturing site. The role covers electrical and mechanical fault-finding, PPM and reactive maintenance on production machinery, with a focus on efficient operation and uptime.

You will read electrical and mechanical drawings, fault-find PLC systems, and contribute to projects and improvements while adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• This role requires hands-on maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with planned preventative and reactive maintenance is essential.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Respond to breakdowns and identify root causes.
• Fault-find on PLC controlled machinery and automated systems.
• Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and read engineering drawings.
• Support installations, upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure maintenance activities meet health and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
