Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a daytime temporary role in Quedgeley. You will safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, complete deliveries and vehicle movements, and ensure all checks and paperwork are properly handled.

This position requires a valid HGV Class 1 licence, Driver CPC with tachograph card, taillift experience, and a reliable, safety-conscious mindset. Day shifts and a temporary assignment in Quedgeley are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence required.
• Driver CPC and digital tachograph card required.
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Taillift experience is desirable.
• Good knowledge of safe loading/unloading procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach required.
• Professional communication skills needed.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Complete scheduled deliveries, collections or vehicle movements.
• Use a taillift safely and efficiently.
• Carry out relevant vehicle and load checks.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are handled with care.
• Complete delivery paperwork and other required records.
• Follow road safety, site and company procedures.
• Provide a professional service at collection and delivery points.
