LME Recruitment Limited, in Basildon, is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a stable, day-based role. Shifts run 08:00–17:30 with evenings free, and no nights out. You will join a supportive, friendly team and enjoy a consistent, daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Cat C+E) licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Responsabilités

• Collecting and delivering HGV Class 1 vehicles and trailers locally (no nights out).
• Shunting vehicles and trailers in the yard using a tug.
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
• Valeting and maintaining the cleanliness of trucks and trailers.
• Liaising with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Carrying out basic vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
