Job summary

SARIA Ltd. seeks a Shift Electrician for our Nottinghamshire site in Mansfield. The role operates on a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour day pattern in a 24/7 continuous operation. On-call duties, holiday/sickness coverage, and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities include supporting the Engineering Team Leader, monitoring electrical systems, and carrying out routine and breakdown maintenance to keep the plant running smoothly.

Qualifications

• You must have served a recognised City and Guilds Electrical Apprenticeship.
• Have extensive electrical experience working in a continuous process environment.
• Have experience of handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns.
• Have proven experience with fault finding.
• Be able to troubleshoot and solve process problems.
• Be familiar with general factory maintenance practices.
• Be conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Experience of plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Work under Health & Safety guidelines.
• Liaise with the Shift Team Leader to ensure the efficient running of the factory and processes.
• Understand all factory operations, including steam raising plant, odour control, and effluent treatment.
• Monitor electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation.
• Carry out breakdown repairs and maintenance.
• Provide assistance to other shift members when requested.
• Carry out site electrical installations and upgrade work as designated.
• Carry out routine electrical or mechanical maintenance according to planned schedules.
• Be on call for a proportion of the time.
