Job summary
Evapco is seeking an Assembly Technician for day shift to perform basic assembly of unit sections and sub-assemblies under supervision. You will work with team members to build components and ensure adherence to Evapco quality standards, with safety and productivity targets in mind.
The role requires reading production orders and shop drawings, using hand and power tools, and maintaining a 90%+ efficiency. Shift is Monday through Thursday with some weekends, and a reliable commute is needed.
Qualifications
- Understanding and proper use of a tape measure within 1/16 inch.
- Must be able to use an overhead crane (after training).
- Must have a reliable means of transportation.
- Basic shop math (add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions).
- Must be able to read Production Orders & understand shop drawings.
Responsibilities
- Basic assembly of unit sections and sub-assemblies.
- Follow directions and understand instructions.
- Identify paperwork to ensure Evapco Quality standards.
- Fix identified mistakes promptly with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Take initiative to expand knowledge and learning.
