Job summary

Evapco is seeking a skilled welder/assembler to assist in the fabrication of coil products. The role involves maintaining a safe work area, performing maintenance PMs, and completing production and quality documentation.

You will ensure leak rates and weld quality meet engineering requirements and production expectations, while mentoring less experienced welders. Candidates should have basic math, read tape measures, and read engineering prints.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic shop math skills and ability to read a tape measure to 1/16-inch.
• Ability to read engineering prints related to the process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must complete Evaporator Welder Level 2 requirements and Level 3 training with proficiency on a minimum of 3 coils (leak rate ≤ 4% and efficiency ≥ 60%).
• Within 6 months, leak rate ≤ 4% and efficiency ≥ 80%; within 12 months, leak rate ≤ 3% and efficiency ≥ 95%.
• Mentor less-experienced welders and maintain required welder certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance PM’s that are the operator’s responsibility.
• Complete all production and quality documentation.
• Maintain leak rate within skill level.
• Maintain acceptable weld appearance.
• Maintain acceptable production rate within your skill level.
• Make quality checks to ensure materials, parts and workmanship are compliant with engineering requirements and productions expectations.
