Job summary

Powys County Council is recruiting to provide daily support to service users in day services for people with learning disabilities, operating from day service bases and in the community under the supervision of the ADSM and DAM.

You will implement individual care plans, maintain accurate documentation, administer prescribed medication, participate in supervision and team meetings, and undertake QCF Level II in Care and other mandatory training as required.

Qualifications

• QCF Level II in Care (or equivalent) is required, along with other mandatory training.
• Ability to work under the direction of the Assistant Day Services Manager and Day Activity Manager.
• Good documentation skills and accurate reporting are essential.
• Willingness to participate in supervision and team meetings.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to service users within day services and in the community according to the service specification.
• Work under the direction of the Assistant Day Services Manager and Day Activity Manager.
• Support service users in implementing individual care plans and day service programmes.
• Keep accurate documentation as required.
• Administer prescribed medication to service users in line with policies and procedures.
• Participate in supervision and support worker team meetings.
• Assist in the transportation of service users as required.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude to supporting people with learning disabilities and work as part of a team.
