Job summary

Caerphilly County Borough Council is recruiting a permanent part-time peripatetic day services assistant to support across the organisation. The role offers a salary of £25,128.65 - £26,371.55 with access to training and development opportunities.

We are currently looking to recruit a permanent part-time peripatetic day services assistant covering staff absences. You will work across our 4-day bases Brooklands in Risca, Ystrad Mynach, Oaklands in Rhymney and Brondeg in Blackwood. We are looking for people who can light up a room when they enter, wear their hearts on their sleeve, who have exceptional personable skills and have a motivated and positive attitude to all aspects of working with people. We aim to provide a person centred and tailored approach when providing social opportunities, the individuals we support are at the centre of all we do, we want staff who are motivated in empowering people to achieve their goals and outcomes, we want you to be the reason that individuals enjoy their sessions with us. The service is working towards providing weekend and early evening support and you will be required to work on a rota basis as and when required.

For the role, we ask that you have

• A Level 2 qualification in Care on the Credit and Qualifications Framework or the commitment and ability to attain the qualification within 1 year of appointment (subject to availability of training)
• A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business/work to transport individuals throughout the county borough
• Experience of working in a care setting
