Job summary
Shaw Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Day Nurse for Burleys Wood in Crawley. You will provide high-quality nursing care to elderly residents, including those with dementia, across a 36.75-hour week on a 12-hour day shift rota.
You will work with a dedicated team, manage medications, maintain records, and ensure care plans reflect residents' needs while aligning with CQC standards and organisational values.
Qualifications
- Must be an NMC Registered Nurse.
- Experience in elderly care with dementia.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health and care needs and develop care plans.
- Administer medication and monitor responses.
- Provide nursing care including wound and palliative care.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals for personalised care.
- Support daily living activities and provide emotional support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Work within CQC guidelines to uphold high standards of care.
- Contribute to policy development and procedures.
- Participate in induction and ongoing training of staff.
