Job description

At CBRE, we do not just manage buildings we power the infrastructure that keeps businesses moving. We are looking for a sharp, hands-on Technical Services Team Leader (Electrical) who bridges the gap between elite engineering and inspiring leadership.

If you are an experienced Electrical Team Lead with a passion for mentoring teams, optimising complex M&E systems, and maintaining show site standards, this is your next definitive career move on one of our most exciting technology accounts in the heart of London.

What Will You Do?

As our Technical Services Team Leader, you will be the heartbeat of our day-to-day engineering operations. You will split your time between strategic team leadership and technical high-voltage precision.

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of shift engineers. You will handle everything from performance reviews and training plans to scheduling and leave management.

  • Act as the site’s Authorised Person for Electrical and Mechanical systems. You will safely execute HV/LV switching operations and mechanical installations within strict Change Control processes.

  • Own the relationships with Specialist Subcontractors. You will review RAMS, inspect their work for flawless quality, and sign off on worksheets.

  • Drive SLA compliance for all planned and reactive maintenance. You will keep our critical spares stocked, write concise technical reports, and optimise the building's energy efficiency.

  • Cultivate a safety-first culture. You will lead regular Toolbox Talks, drive Near Miss reporting, and conduct rigorous monthly and annual compliance audits.

What Are We Looking For?

We need a leader who is as comfortable reading site drawings and O&Ms as they are conducting a client presentation.

  • A strong background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with valid certifications and experience acting as an Authorised Person (AP) for HV/LV switching.

  • Proven experience managing engineering teams, ideally within a high-availability or critical infrastructure environment, such as data centres, corporate HQs, or banking.

  • A proactive problem-solver who takes extreme ownership of plant rooms, anticipates operational risks before they happen, and thrives under SLA-driven environments.

  • Exceptional communication skills to liaise smoothly between your shift team, the Helpdesk team, CBRE management, and the client.

What Is in it for You?
  • Access to CBRE’s world-class training programs, certifications, and global network of opportunities.

  • Work in an environment that prioritises safety, continuous improvement, and rewarding top talent.

  • Comprehensive salary, benefits, and pension scheme.
