Job summary

Nouvita Healthcare Ltd. is seeking caring Support Workers for day services in the UK. Roles involve supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism in a day centre, with some evening and weekend shifts and higher weekend rates.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and positive approach required.
• 1 year of experience as a Support Worker preferred (training provided).
• Resilience and calmness when supporting challenging behaviour.
• Good teamwork and communication; reliable timekeeping.
• Flexible to rota including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to complete mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Support people in group activities and 1-1 in centre and community.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities to build independence and life skills.
• Follow positive behaviour support plans and manage situations calmly.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records.
• Safeguard service users and follow policies.
• Encourage service users to participate in decisions.
• Work with team; attend meetings and training.
• Provide personal care with dignity when needed.
• Record keeping and liaising with families and professionals.
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety guidance.
