Avance Consulting is seeking a Senior Datadog Platform Engineer to design and implement observability solutions across cloud and container environments. You will embed Datadog and OpenTelemetry into applications, partner with developers for observability by design, and drive best practices across teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on platform engineering, cloud and Kubernetes observability, and collaboration with UK-based stakeholders in onsite workshops and design sessions.

Formación

• Proven Datadog expertise across APM, Infra, Logs, RUM, Synthetics, dashboards and monitors.
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, .NET or Node.js.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement end-to-end observability solutions using Datadog across metrics, logs, traces, RUM, synthetics, and events.
• Develop and maintain custom dashboards, service maps, and KPI-aligned views.
• Configure alerts, monitors, and SLOs/SLIs for actionable alerting.
• Embed Datadog APM, OpenTelemetry and custom instrumentation into applications.
• Drive Datadog best practices across application and platform teams.
• Implement Datadog monitoring for cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Kubernetes environments.
• Build automation for onboarding and configuration using Python, REST APIs, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.
• Support post-incident reviews and continuous improvement actions.
• Act as the Datadog technical lead for UK-based stakeholders and client teams.
