Job summary

Arcus Search in London is seeking a Platform/Observability Engineer to design and scale telemetry platforms, focusing on Kubernetes observability and OpenTelemetry integration. You will shape how telemetry is collected and processed across a high-uptime engineering environment, building scalable pipelines with Go or Python tooling.

Ideal candidates bring strong experience in OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes and AWS, plus familiarity with Datadog, New Relic or Dynatrace and infrastructure-as-code tools

Qualifications

• Experience building telemetry platforms at scale.
• Strong background in Platform Engineering, SRE or large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency with OpenTelemetry collectors, SDKs and exporters.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve large-scale telemetry platforms in a highly technical environment.
• Improve Kubernetes observability and telemetry collection pipelines.
• Shape how telemetry data is collected, processed and consumed across the platform.
