Job summary
Reboot Recruit Ltd is seeking an experienced Help Desk Engineer to join a global technology business specialising in high-performance server, storage and datacentre solutions in St Albans. This is a specialist hardware support role working on enterprise-level server/storage environments.
You'll diagnose hardware faults, troubleshoot server and networking issues, manage RMAs and coordinate warranty repairs, with hybrid working 1–2 days in the office each week.
Qualifications
- Experience with server hardware, storage or datacentre infrastructure.
- Ability to diagnose hardware faults on enterprise systems.
- Experience troubleshooting servers, storage, OS and networking.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments.
- Experience supporting customers through technical incidents from initial diagnosis through to resolution.
- Exposure to Supermicro server solutions and warranty RMAs would be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose hardware faults in server/storage gear.
- Troubleshoot server, storage, OS and network issues.
- Coordinate RMAs and warranty repairs.
- Provide enterprise-level technical support for datacentre environments.
