Job summary

Nimble is seeking a Databricks Architect in a lead role to shape technical direction on major client engagements. You will design pragmatic data solutions using the Databricks platform and cloud services, while guiding delivery teams and mentoring engineers.

The role requires hands-on expertise, strong communication with both engineers and executives, and the ability to drive architectural standards and pre-sales input across engagements.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on Databricks experience with end-to-end platform implementations.
• Track record designing and owning data platform architectures across major clouds.
• Strong command of Spark, SQL and Python; data modelling, streaming and batch patterns.
• Demonstrable engineering leadership in consultancy, product, or in-house settings.
• Client leadership with credibility with senior stakeholders and business awareness.
• Excellent communicator able to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery teams, set direction and unblock engineers.
• Establish high design and coding standards across multiple teams.
• Mentor Senior and Lead consultants to grow capability.
• Build lasting client relationships as trusted technical advisor.
• Shape proposals, scoping and pre-sales input.
• Translate complex problems into clear options for engineers and executives.
• Uplift client engineering teams to be more capable.
