Job summary

Indra Group UK & Ireland seeks a Database Team Manager to lead mobilisation, knowledge transfer, operational readiness and Early Life Support for the TfL transition programme. You will drive structured knowledge capture across SQL Server and Oracle estates, validate procedures, and shape the future database support model.

You will collaborate with customer stakeholders, incumbent suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless transition, robust governance, and sustained operational control

Qualifications

• Database Administration leadership or database service workstream management in complex enterprise or managed service environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database administration, and related technologies.
• Experience with service transition, mobilisation, operational handover and Early Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Mobilisation and transition readiness: lead the database workstream through mobilisation, knowledge transfer, shadowing and readiness.
• Knowledge transfer and operational readiness: coordinate structured capture across SQL Server and Oracle estates and identify gaps.
• Operational procedures: review and create SOPs, runbooks, support guides and knowledge articles.
• Governance and risk: manage transition risks and blockers with evidence of capability and readiness.
• Early Life Support: lead database activities after cutover and coordinate rapid resolution and lessons learned.
• Team capability development: support recruitment, onboarding and mentoring of database resources.
