Qualifications

• At least 3 years in a DBA role.
• Experience with SQL standards and best practices.
• Need to maintain up-to-date documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer database server environments.
• Installation and configuration of MySQL and SQL Server.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for IT tickets.
• Backup and recovery of SQL database servers.
• Make recommendations for database stability improvements.

Skills

Strong proficiency in MySQL 5.7/MySQL 8+ and SQL Server 2016+

Linux and shell scripting competence

Experience with HA technologies

Proficient in writing and optimising SQL statements

Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines
