Qualifications

• Design, build, implement, manage and maintain MySQL databases in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure database performance monitoring and issue resolution.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes.
• Stay updated with the latest MySQL technologies.

Skills

Strong experience with MySQL in a DBA capacity

Experience with other database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL)

Understanding of SQL Server, preferably in the context of having ported to MySQL

Experience with high availability solutions such as clustering, replication, and failover

Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation
