Job summary

CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support a public-sector engagement in the UK. The role focuses on ensuring performance, availability, security and ongoing maintenance of critical database environments, working with infrastructure, application and development teams.

The position is hybrid with 2 days on site in Telford, inside IR35 rate of £430 per day, and a 6-month rolling contract. Active SC clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience as a Database Administrator or Database Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with one or more database platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Solid understanding of database performance tuning and optimisation.
• Experience managing database backups, recovery and security.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with wider technical teams.

I'm working with a leading technology and digital transformation organisation looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support a key public-sector engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced DBA with active Security Check (SC) clearance to join an established technical team, taking responsibility for the performance, availability, security and ongoing maintenance of critical database environments.

You'll play a key role in ensuring database platforms remain secure, resilient and optimised, working alongside infrastructure, application and development teams to maintain reliable database services.
